The problem

The experience is there. The job in her field is not.

A chief accountant with seven years of experience moves abroad with her child. A couple of years later her CV reads like a beginner's: a career break, no local experience, a language still in progress. Employers don't even open it, and she takes whatever work she can get.

How we solve it

A first project in a new country

We meet each mother, get to know her experience and find her a paid project with a local company. A mentor who has been through the move supports her. The company sees her at work before any hire. After the project she has local experience and a reference, and from there she looks for work on equal terms.

Pilot: two cohorts of 15 mothers and 10 partner companies.

Where we are

  • Validated the problem with mothers. 100 answered our survey in less than a day, and 88 of them are open to paid projects with companies. The pilot tests the other side, that companies pay for their work.
  • Pitched and won. We won the Kooperativ hackathon in Warsaw in October 2026, and its prize funds the pilot.
  • Found our first partners. bestie and the language school GoLingGo.

How mom2mom makes money

Companies pay a fee on each project a mother does through mom2mom. Later, an optional subscription gives them extra benefits.

Grants and programmes can pay for training for the mothers. We will register a company in Poland before the first outside investment.
